Some people fear the tarot like it truly is an evil thing. The truth is it is a tool to find the answers you seak.
I did a reading for my sister and due to my inexperience at the time interpreted the cards in their most literal sense. I told her as part of the reading that an older dark haired man in her life would die. I wasn’t particularly close to my sister at that time and we didn’t really see a great deal of eachother so I had no idea of what was going on in her personal life.
Anyway, about 3 months later, my sister told me that the information I had given her was right. She was having an affair with an older married man and yes he was dark haired. On one particular occasion he had told his wife and was leaving her to be with my sister, but tragically he was killed in a car accident on the night he left to be with my sister. My sister was really freaked by it and it shook me up so much, I left the cards alone for a number of years.
However, I’m glad to say I took them up again and, through the training I had sitting in circle with members of my local spiritual church, learned that if I see anything bad in the cards to provide a warning to the recipient, but never to go into such detail.
I have found that even though I do readings quite regularly now, there is always something that can be learned and, by comparison, even though I’ve been doing it for about 10 years on a regular basis, I still consider myself to be a novice at this. As an aside I’ve found this site and the card of the day to be very informative in building my understanding of the meaning and interpretation of the cards
